………… As a sampler of French chocolates, this is a most enjoyable CD. Obviously, some of the works here, such as those by Franck, Saint-Saëns, and Vierne are well represented in the listings, which poses the possibility of duplication with other recordings in your collection. But the Ange disc captures a lovely sounding instrument in an ideal venue and in a beautifully transparent recording. Veenswijk plays superbly, and the enclosed booklet, which details the organ's complete specifications, is most informative about the individual works and the history of French organ music. Organiste met allure

Op de dag van de ingebruikname van het gerestaureerde Maarschalkerweerdorgel in de Maria van Jessekerk te Delft, werd ook een cd gepresenteerd waarop Petra Veenswijk dit indrukwekkende instrument bespeelt. Frans-romantische muziek, die op dit orgel voortreffelijk klinkt. Hoogtepunten zijn de zangerig Fantaisie in C van César Franck en de complete Symphonie nr. 2 van Louis Vierne.
