2006: Romy Schneider- A life of triumphs and tragedies

The teenage Romy Schneider was in the fifties selected to play the titlerole in the German filmseries SISSI which made her an idol. Not satisfied with the mainly decorative part she moved to France, where she developed into a talented dramatic actress in French and international films. Still her Sisi-image would haunt her during her life and even after she died, as a France newspaper announced her death with the headline: 'Sisi is dead!'
