Photography is a fascinating occupation, both for professionals and amateurs.
This is not only my opinion, millions of people agree with me. A world without
photography is unimaginable, it is deeply based in modern society. My first camera, an Agfa Clack, was soon followed by an Ilford Sportsman, but my first serious camera was an Exakta. Since then I have used Rolleiflex, Asahi Pentax, Hasselblad and nowadays Nikon. My interest in the history of photography and my desire to collect photographica sprang from my practice of photographing. |

| My photographica collection consists mainly of Kodak material from the period up to the 1950s, but it wasn't always this way. About 25 years ago I started to collect cameras of all kinds of brands, though after a while I felt the need to specialise. One can specialise in types of cameras, for example miniature cameras or stereo cameras, or in cameras that were innovating and advanced in their time, or cameras produced in the Netherlands, or cameras of a particular make, such as Leica, Nikon or Exacta. I have chosen to specialise in Kodak. |
