When singer Kinke Miedema joined in 2005 Maida Vale became a female fronted
metal band. However, don't expect a gothic-like sound. The style is better
described as melodic heavy rock with progressive, metal and even punk elements.
A good sense of humour is another characteristic of the band. Maida Vale
released two albums: Moscow Delight (2002) and Prefab Bliss (2004), and
an EP: Neo-Bliss (2005). At the moment the band is writing material for
the third album for which the preliminary title is: The Struggle Within.
