As a bonus, here are some pictures of my 1992 Mazda MX 6. In the United States it is regarded as a second generation MX 6, but over here in Holland we never had a first generation anyway, so, this is it.

Both pictures above were taken at Park "Clingendael", near The Hague.
Japanese cars are reknowned for their endurance and reliability, but often leave much to desire in the styling department. This four seater sports coupé by Mazda clearly is an exception. I think it is one of the sexiest and most elegant cars that has ever emerged from the Far East drawing boards. However, there it's allways a good idea to enhance looks and performance by fitting new rims and tyres. In November 2002 I mounted new 16" Speedline rims with 225/45/16 Bridgestone Pole Position tyres. See below.

Only so much for showing off the MX6 at various locations in and around my hometown, but hey, does it actually move ? Sure does !

Mine is equipped with a 2,5 litre V6. An extremely sophisticated engine with a layout that leaves very little to desire, even in these modern days and ages: All alloy, four overhead cams, 4 valves per cilinder, computer controlled injection, variable air intake system, the works. Nice suspension geometry as well: Double wishbones on all corners (Twin Trapezoïdal Link in Mazda speak), low centre of gravity, disc brakes all around with Anti Lock System.
With this 5 speed manual transmission it goes like a rocket. Well, almost. Zero to 100 kph in 8,5 seconds, a top speed around 220 kph. This car not only handles and performs like a real sports car, but it's a very sophisticated and comfortable cruiser as well. Yes, Cruise Control and Air Conditioning are part of the deal too.
More pictures coming soon !
