Biketrips.

For may years now I make with some colleagues a day trip on my racebicycle. On such a day we ride 120 kilometres. These trips went through the northern provences Groningen and Drenthe. The most important issue on these days are, fun and pleasure. For us it is not a race. During one of these trips the idea came for a three days trip. And perhaps we can do it for a good reason. After some time the first good reason was found.

It was an initiative of the dutch Y.M.C.A. They wanted that children of refugecamps in the Netherlands get together with dutch children. This project got the name "Steps into another world".
The biketrip was in september 2000 and went from Maastricht ( in the south ) to the Kollumeroord ( in the north ).

After the succes of the trip in 2000 we started talking about a new trip. Again we contacted our sponsors of the first trip. They were enthousiast again. This time again "Steps into", but now for a new project by the name of "Tom's Resort". Tom's Resort should be a place were children who get a lifethreading dissease get some rest with their family  This trip was in september 2001.

In 2002 we thought that we had to do something special. We found 3 good causes to ride our bikes.

1. The "Ride for the Roses".
2. Tom's Resort.
3. Raising some money for disabled children, who couldn't go on a holliday.
