CHAPTER 13
Well, what
a festivities at the end of a year.
I was
brought in the mood by all the lights etc in the house.
I am tired
of all flickering lights surrounding me.
Can’t look
anywhere without seeing lights.
Even shutting
my eyes is hard without seeing the lights flickering.
But bossy
did something which I won’t forget easily.
Okay I am
not all easy and obedient as you expect but to do this?
One day
Bossy came home with several packages in his hand.
Bossy
sometimes brings packages home but this time it was different, we cats have a
sense for it.
After we
had eaten our food and Bossy also had finished his food we washed and licked
our hairs.
And waited
when Bossy would unwrap the packages.
First of
all a whole lot of paper and it revealed a sort of doll in Christmas clothing,
Bossy did
something with the doll and put it on the table.
The other
package went to our special cat room so we couldn’t see what Bossy did with
it.
That doll
on the table was quit harmless; it just sat there doing nothing.
Was it
worth being so curious for a doll that did just nothing?
Tobi lost
his curiosity and jumped into his hammock and went fast asleep.
But I was
as curious as only a cat can be, I can slap my paw on my head considering.
I decided
to investigate that doll on the table.
Very slowly
I crawled towards the table and stopped about 15cm in front of that thing.
Still
nothing happened.
A little
stroke by my paw would help perhaps.
Indeed it
did, suddenly the thing was alive with sound and lights!
Completely
startled I ran into our cat room.
In all
quietness I could study that doll and after a while it stopped making music and
also the lights went out.
So there it
was again, being quit doing nothing.
Suddenly I
had to sneeze, I now wish I shouldn’t.
Suddenly
somewhere above me there was a thing starting to make noise and making moves.
I was so
shocked I saw it in a flash and ran into the room.
Even our
cat-room wasn’t save so I jumped onto the couch where Bossy laughed his head
off.
He even had
tears in his eyes!
Bossy even
had the nerve to wish us a merry Christmas.
If that was
Christmas he could keep it, to frighten us, cats
Awakened by
the noise Tobi looked around what all that noise was.
Humans call
it cheering up the house.
I have
other words in mind like revenge.
I have a
whole year ahead to get my revenge, I even got some ideas.
I will be
telling about it later
