12/20/01 - One Major Update Coming Up! - PART ONE
|
|
See? I told you I would be back soon! I've got a whole bunch of news tidbits for you. So check
them out below!
This is the first part of me doing a major update on my site. The second part of the update
will contain updates of all my checklists and linkpage (including the much delayed fan-site
links). Believe me it's a lot of work, but I'll try to upload the updated lists this month.
The third part of the update will include 3 new checklists: Michael Wm. Kaluta,
Frank Quitely and...oh well...you'll have to check that one out for yourself.
For now I'll leave you with 2 sketches I obtained over the last few months.

|
|
Comic Book Resources' The Comic Wire posted a small interview with Michael Wm. Kaluta in

the Comic Wire [...] "All my pieces, with the exception of the Halfling, were monsters, like the
Xorn, the Kuo-toa, Roper, Phasm and Greenhag".

05/08/00 - Kaluta Spreads His Art
|
|
Today Comic Book Resources posted an interview with writer Dan Jurgens in their
Comic Wire column. In this interview he talks about the cancellation of Aquaman with
#75 (November 2000). It also contained a quote from cover artist Michael Kaluta:
"Since 'Aquaman' is ending at issue 75, I asked that I be able to draw
the last three covers as one big cover, like I've done from time to time
with 'Witchcraft' and the last three 'Books Of Magic.'" (...) "DC Comics agreed, so I'm just
finishing the inking on the Very Long Cover..."
