I am trying to setup a FAN based website for the HDX Premium Series with support questions and download of drivers. (XP/Vista drivers)

Please note I am currently testing Windows 7 on my HP HDX 18.4" notebook. Unfortuneatly Windows 7 destroyed a partition where I kept the drivers for downgrade to XP.

So I have to start over.

Question:

Why is there is a BSOD with my xp install disk...


Answer:

The XP setup cd has native IDE drivers during install, so it will only install on PC / Laptops with a IDE hard drive in it, if the hard drive is SATA you need to find the correct SATA driver, and during XP install hit the F6 button to add the SATA driver. The HDX 18.4" notebook has two SATA hard drives.
