Warhammer is a fantasy strategic game. Sort of like a cross between Risk and Lord of the Rings.

There are many different armies and one must paint one's own army. This takes a lot of time, but you can give your army the exact colours you want.

I've been experimenting, trying to get photos which show the models in all their glory, yet attempting, at the same time, to make them seem active.

These are Goblin Wolf riders, painted by Maurice.

I've started going to a gaming club on a Friday night. There are some really good players there, and as you will see, some of them do an excellent job at painting as well.

These are High Elves charging a unit of Orcs (large goblins). By ..........

The Warhammer world is full of big, bad, and totally non-bodacious type thugs.

These are Chaos Knights. The green colours specifies they are Nurgle knights.

Nurgle being the Dark Lord of rot and decay. A lot like a US president then....

This is a large bow-like contraption in the same High Elf army as above.

The stone it is standing on is made from clay! The guy did it all by himself. He should win a noble prize or something for art.

There are various techniques we use when painting the models. First of all you have to under coat them black or white. Then you paint on the various layers.

See the different colours in the hair? That's the hair being painted one colour, then the lightly brushing over with a second. This is called dry-brushing.

Humans ride on horses, Lizard men ride on velociraptors called "Cold Ones", Dwarves don't ride at all, skeletons ride around on skeleton horses, goblins ride around on wolves and as you can see, the bigger cousin of the goblin, the Orc, is pulled around by giant boars.

There's a lot of variation in the game. A lot of bloody rules too.

Some of the models are plastic (the large units) and some, like this boar chariot, are made from metal.

There are giant walking rats in Warhammer as well. They're called Skaven.

The lads at the back there are plague skaven. They carry diseases around with them...

This is a picture, not a very sharp one, of one of my armies. I play Humans, Tomb Kings (which is a skeletan pharaoh army) and Dwarves.

The Dwarves have all manners of artillery. This is the organ gun. I like the name....orga.....sorry.

These are a few of the Warhammer websites out there:

The Empire

The Dwarves

Games Workshop

Tomb Kings

By me.

These are few of my Tomb King models.

They're just rank and file troops, places in front of a sphinx to pose and look good. Yes, there are certain similarities between my skeletons and photo models....

The black and white is supposed to be cow hide. I hope it looks like cow hide....my whole army is done in that theme.
