Portraying people is fascinating. They are so different. Not just outside, but also inside. Portraying is an craft. Besides a good technique is an human character understanding necessary. A good portrait is not just an nice resemblance, but also a characterstudy. In 1981 Heerdink finished his study at the Royal Art Academy in The Hague. His work can be found in private art collections in Europe and America. .
