Rotten Vomit is a Death metal/Grindcore band from Sweden. I had the honour of being the first webzine to interview this band.

JesusMetal: Please introduce your band:

Ibrahim: It all started with me (Ibrahim) and my friend (Jocke). We played some kind of Grindcore. It was a good start, but we needed a bass player, so we asked Björn if he would like to play bass in our band. He agreed, and we had a bass player. But after a year we decided to play some more brutal things than Death metal. Now we are more brutal. We released some song for fun, but we take it more serious now. We'll release demos and albums and lot more things like that. The band's first name was Mortal Enemy but we didn´t like that so we changed the name to a more disgusting name like many other bands, it's now called Rotten Vomit.

Ibrahim, why did you leave Scurvy?

Ibrahim: I was the only christian in the band. I had problems with that. I wanted to be in a christian band.

Which bands bring influences to your music?

Ibrahim: Necrophilium Orgasmius, G.O.R.E, Scurvy, Crimson Thorn, Vomitorial Corpulence, and Disgorge a little bit. But we don't try to sound like other bands, we do have our own style.

JesusMetal:What brings you in the mood for writing?

Jocke: Hehe what can i say things like gore and other staffs!

Ibrahim: Inspiration can strike without warning at any given second. But a good cold storm always gets me primed for writing. Also tales of medieval battles and things also get my imagination in a nice creative mind flow.

JesusMetal: You guys are from Sweden, most great metal comes from Scandinavia. Do you think you've got that Scandinavion sound too?

Ibrahim: Yes, a little bit. but I think we sounds more like Crimson Thorn. So more American stile. Though we do have our own stile.

JesusMetal: When will the demo come?

Ibrahim: We will record in April. It'll released in the middle of May. It will be a brutal Death metal demo.

JesusMetal: And what can we expect from the demo?

Ibrahim: The title will be Rotten puke and it'll contain 6 songs. And it'll be about one hour long.

JesusMetal: You guys are christians, do you put that in your music and how?

Ibrahim: We want to introduce God to people through our music. We want people to read the lyrics, so they understand that God is King. Satan is just a fallen angel...

JesusMetal: How do you describe your music?

Ibrahim: We call it Gore Death metal
