In many peoples opinion this is their best album. Mortification went after Scrolls of the Megilloth back to Thrash and Speed metal. This album has more variety and stile, but is less extreme. The vocals are different, Steve Rowe still has his grunt, but he does clean vocals now too. After this album Jayson Sherlock left the band, there are several theories about this, some say he didn't liked the music from Mortification anymore, some say he was too busy with Paramaecium, I don't know, and I don't care either. What I do know is that Mortification lost their strength, and their later albums were not as good as the first.
