Adiastasia, a pretty young powermetal from Brazil, brings you their first release, called Life War. This cd is released by Bombworks Records and it got my attention because of the song you could download on their website, called Father of Light.

The cd starts with a Lord of the Rings-esque intro, you hear swords and fighting and some background music. I was kind of sceptical about this album because of the many sad produced albums that Brazil brings forth, but this release isn't anything like that.
It sounds very professional and also musically this is top-notch, a very well trained singer, good drumming and great guitar players, this cd is also drowned in keys, which accompanies the guitars well. Vocal-wise Jeff Winner goes from mid ranged clean vocals to very high pitched falsetto, great variation and comparable to other good singers. He sings in both English and Spanish, good variation and another good thing, his English accent doesn't bother me at all, compared to some other south american releases.
The artwork of Life War isn't my thing . Both the logo and the cover are mediocre, there is just too many shown on the cover art that it gets messy. Throughout the cd they also use a choir, which does a decent job, and the last song, Consumatum Est has someone telling you some stuff. There are some guitarsolos, they're good, some are quite typical powermetal solos, but what would you expect of a powermetal band?
I was very suprised by this band in a good way, and I look forward to hear more of them. Another good release of Bombworks records!
