Even though this is Antestor's first release, this isn't really their first album. Martyrium was recorded first. This album is very different from Martyrium, this one has a more Black metal/Folk sound. This album was released by Cacophonous, which gave a problem: the lyrics which were too bold christian weren't printed in the booklet. That's sad, but don't worry. I've got them here. Also I heard there were other problems, but I won't get into more details than which have to do with this cd.
My favorite song must be Sorg, even though I don't understand what's it about (I can't read Norwegian), you just feel the sorrow (Sorg is Norwegian for sorrow). Beginning slow and dark with synths and clean vocals, though ending with guitars and the screams by Martyr. But the song remains slow and dark. There are other great songs on this cd, like Ancient Prophecy, a long and slow song, very good.
Some people call this cd 'the best Black metal album of all time in the christian scene', I don't know if that's true. But I do know this is one of the better ones.
Thanks to Daniel and Kurt for translations.
