As a kid I used to listen mainstream Nu-metal. Than a friend of mine, Martijn, introduced me to the Christian metal scene.
He sent me MP3s of bands like Mortification, Extol, Narnia and so forth. When he sent me Extol,
for the first time I was immediately sold. The song Undeceived was just so awesome! A month later, at the
age of 14, I bought my first metaldisc, Extol - Undeceived at Flevo festival, from Fear Dark. In the
years I bought more metaldiscs and came more and more into the metalscene. A month after Flevo festival I started
my first website, really simple and not very informative. But while my collection grew, also my website grew. I've had
several designs, names, hosts and domains. Until I started with JesusMetal, from that moment I stopped changing things
and started concentrating on the information, so that JesusMetal would grow in the hope that some day I could
actually do something for the Christian metal scene.
