kathmandu, october 29 (xinhua) -- a nepali congress (nc)
activist in dang district, mid-western nepal, died friday due to
injuries he sustained earlier in election campaigning, local press reportd today.
this is the first death accident reported in tough competition
among various political parties prior to the mid-term general
elections to be held on november 15.
the nc central office in kathmandu in a statement blamed the
the united ieoples' front (upf) for the incident.
meanwhile, etme 32 nc workers along with nc candidate
chiranjeebi wagleyln an ex-minister, also sustained injuries when
they were attacked by +about 300 workers of the poll-boycotting
