G85CS Works project Here are some pictures of my works plans, for this project , more examination is needed. The works G85CS has other foot-pegs and a higher capacity oil-tank . Also the side panels are from alloy instead of glass fiber........the exhaust pipe goes through the frame and the oil feed line to the head was underneath the engine cases protected . but as the pictures of the works riders , you can see that also tube foot-pegs were used or twin primary`s I built up this bike from fine parts that I collected I made a two-flange manifold to use the GP 2 that I have.......also a air box must be found I made a set of engine plates The engine cases , barrel and head are NOS the gear-box is re-done the magneto is restored.......for this project I use a twin primary that was used in the early 50ties I have a sheet alloy example but they are very weak This project of mine will take a long time but I have the main components and I copy my oil tank from my G85CS # 245 but will keep the oil tank higher under the manifold to reach the capacity I made a rear fender loop ,rear brake stay Also I have some grey covers and have to find or make a seat base The works riders are Dave Nicoll , Chris Horsefield, and Vic Eastwood I hope you like these picture`s as I thought it would make my web-pages more complete I ordered a complete crank-assembly for my works G85CS New axle`s and a 4" Carillo con-rod , 88 mm bore , chrome molybdeen flywheels The piston is modified on the inside to save weight. Total capacity : 622cc compression ratio 10,5 to 1 expected horsepower in combination with a Gp 1 or 2 50 The engine will be ready in about 6 weeks |
