This is my Matchless G85CS engine nr. 245
I purchased it from my good friend Robert Allen.
The tank mount was cut off in the end 60ties or early
70ties.....so I made a good copy for it
My proffesion is metal worker so that is a good thing to
use it by making parts for the bike.
The tank mount is welded on the frame again [I have an extra
G85CS frame] also I made a new exhaust stripe for the frame
By using the Rickman primary it was neccesary to make
another brake-pedal and I don,t want to change my original
brake-pedal....so I made an exact copy for it.
The AMC gearbox looks fine and my opinion is that this bike
has not ridden much.
The glass fiber parts are very good and not re-painted.
The big M stickers were put on the gas tank by individual dealers
when the bike arrived at their shops
It can be a point of discussion of what is original or not.......
I decided that the big M stickers are part of its history.
I attached a second float-bowl that is used on the 5GP2 1 3/8"
carburettor.......I found this in England [hard to find]
just bought the rear sprocket for the 7R rearhub[magnesium]
The frame must powder coated and the competition magneto
redone

I have an extra G85CS frame and rear-fork also NOS engine cases
norton oil-pump, primary,gear,head and magneto and lots of
small stuff........I am thinking of making a replica works G85CS
but its for a longer term
the engine plates,stange oil-tank [a works G85CS oil-tank is higher
under the manifold] brake pedal, rear mudguardstay it can all be made
