Marco Roelofs en zijn mannen zijn de hoofdact op zaterdag 19 mei, de tweede dag van het festival. Eerder werden Golden Earring, Two Days Left en Groove it or Move it bevestigd voor het festival in Egchel, een kerkdorp tegen Panningen aan. Dit jaar is het jubileumjaar van EGOpop omdat het festival tien jaar bestaat.

January 15, 2012 - 7 years ago the sadly deceased Golden Earring fan Louise Donk was cremated at Uden Crematorium. At her cremation the newest 2004 Naked III version of the song I've Just Lost Somebody was played. This song is dedicated to Louise Donk by the bandmembers. The cdsingle was especially sent in advance by Universal Music to the family of Louise to make sure the song could be played at her memorial service. The memorial service was attended by hundreds of people and amongst them were many many Golden Earring fans and Golden Earring guitarist George Kooymans who came to pay his respects on behalf of the band. We still miss her and remember her. Condolances to her family.

Info found on internet: Dit jaar bestaat EGOpop alweer tien jaar en dat is reden genoeg om een feestje te bouwen. Dat vond de organisatie ook dus zal Golden Earring op de vrijdagavond een concert komen geven. Ook de komst van Groove It Or Move It en Two Days Left is bevestigd. Het festival wordt op 18 en 19 mei gehouden in Eghel, Limburg. Dit ligt ten noorden van Roermond. Over de kaartverkoop is helaas nog niks bekend.

During the broadcast of the "Doodnormaal" tv program some youngsters threw a brick from an A4 motorway overpass. The stone hit the front window of the car of Golden Earring fan Louise Donk. Soon afterwards she died in hospital due to her injuries. We sadly miss her. Gone, but not forgotten! Let's remember her in our thoughts.

Presentatie Golden Earring – Back Home in Raad van State
Gezamenlijk project van Haags Historisch Museum, Raad van State en Museum RockArt. Ter gelegenheid van het 50-jarig jubileum van de Haagse rockband Golden Earring hebben het Haags Historisch Museum en Museum RockArt een vitrine ingericht in het vernieuwde gebouw van de Raad van State aan de Kneuterdijk in Den Haag.
De presentatie is een verwijzing naar de grote tentoonstelling over 50 jaar Golden Earring in het Haags Historisch Museum die nog tot en met 26 februari a.s. te zien is. Met het inrichten van steeds wisselende 'tentoonstellingen' in deze vitrine besteedt de Raad van State aandacht aan actuele culturele (Haagse) thema’s in de binnenstad van Den Haag. De vitrine bevindt zich in de publieksruimte bij de zittingszalen waar dagelijks de rechtszittingen van de Afdeling bestuursrechtspraak van de Raad van State worden gehouden. Procespartijen die voor een rechtszitting bij de Raad van State moeten zijn, worden op deze manier gewezen op interessante activiteiten van het Haags Historisch Museum.

December 15, 2011 - Today I heard the sad news that on December 14, 2011 die-hard Golden Earring fan Lida Goedhart passed away very suddenly after suffering from an acute illness. Lida was physically disabled but was nevertheless seen at many Golden Earring shows and related events in her wheelchair. She was wellknown and loved amongst Golden Earring fans. We were priviliged to have known her. Our thoughts go out to her husband Jaco and her family. We will miss her! Gone but not forgotten....

Bloody Buccaneers guitarist Henk suggested already that if you go to the Antwerpen concert you could book a night in a hotel to stay the night and see the Bloody Buccaneers the next day....
